Becoming a Vimy Branch Member


To become a member of the Vimy Branch of the Legion, please complete the application form and return it to the attention of the membership committee at the following address:

Your completed application will also require a cheque for the sum $45.00 covering the first year dues; proof of military or RCMP service for ordinary membership, or an explanation of your relationship to a member of the military for associate membership.

Each application requires two sponsors of serving Vimy Branch Legion members. If you already have sponsors within the Branch, please let us know. If you don’t, not to worry, the Committee will coordinate with you to secure sponsorship.

In the unlikely event we are unable to accept your application, your cheque shall be returned to you.

As a Member of Vimy Branch, members receive:

Membership eligibility requirements
  • Must be of federal voting age
  • Must be a citizen of Canada, or a Commonwealth or Allied country
  • Must agree to abide by The Royal Canadian Legion Constitution, rules and General By-Laws Click here for links
  • Must never have been expelled from The Royal Canadian Legion or from any other Veterans’ Organization

If information comes to the Legion’s attention that you do not meet the eligibility requirements as indicated, or information provided is incorrect, the membership may be rendered null and void and a pro-rated refund issued.
