Greetings Comrades and Web Site Guests,

Welcome to a rather unique Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion!

We do not have a Branch Club House, Bar, or Offices. Consistent with the original tenets set down by our Vimy Ridge Veteran founders in 1929 we hold two formal Dinner meetings each year to commemorate the Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge and Remembrance Day. These dinners are held at the Mocha Shrine Temple where we enjoy a delicious dinner, wonderful guest speaker, the exceptional music of our very own Vimy Orchestra and take care of business.

Our mission is to serve Veterans, which includes serving military and RCMP members and their families; to promote Remembrance; and to serve our communities and our country.

While we are not the largest branch in terms of membership numbers our membership hovers around 135 members. At least 64% of our membership are either serving or former serving members of the Canadian Forces or have served with other Commonwealth or Allied Forces. In addition, we have a number of Police and Fire Services personnel and other first responders as members.

Importantly, although we do not have a branch building to call home, we still enjoy all the privileges and benefits of Legion Membership and we encourage our members to participate in Veterans support activities, visit other Branch’s, enjoy Legion Sports and support The Poppy Fund.

As you navigate through this website you will discover more about our Branch inclusive of a number of links outlining the various activities available to our membership and contact information should you wish to investigate any item in greater detail.

Thank you for taking the time to explore our website. Please do not hesitate to drop us an email to share your thoughts and suggestions.
Have a great visit!
